In 2006 I was given the opportunity to take full control of The Port Washington Skating Center after having managed the business since its inception in 1994. I took advantage of that opening and I’m still here today closing in on 30 years of activity at the rink, including the LI EDGE Travel Hockey, and school programs with Varsity and JV teams from Port Washington, Roslyn, Manhasset, and neighboring districts.

Throughout this time, we have been motivated to provide the best environment and services that allow our players to participate, improve, and ultimately reach their goals of playing beyond their youth hockey years.

This year another opportunity presented itself… directly across the street from the rink. When presented with the prospect of providing a new category of services to our hockey community, I could not say no – even at my age. The possibilities are just too awesome!

So, here we are today at the Family Skating Annex. We have obtained state-of-the-art training assets that are used by high level and professional programs across the country. RapidShot, Sense Arena, Rapidhands, and much more all inside a facility that promotes learning as well as physical preparation. We want to give everyone involved a pathway to greater success on the ice and – more important – the prospect of future good health.
